The groundwork for PIETAS Ministry started ten years ago when the Lord put a burden in our hearts to do a 70 weeks prayer walk every Saturday morning from August 2011 to December 2012 to pray for God’s move in the Church and through the Church. In the course of that seventy weeks and years after that, there were many lessons God taught us through His written word that became foundational to the PIETAS Ministry. These lessons are now the PIETAS Ministry Curriculum.
In December 2021, The Lord burdened me to pray and fast a couple of days each weekend for the whole year of 2022. After obeying, God opened the door for me and my wife to travel to Israel and Jordan on April 2023. When I shared the trip to the Church, a generous businesswoman gave us her credit card to pay for the trip in full. We waited for the Lord’s guidance whether to accept the offer or not. A month later about late January of 2023, we felt the conviction to decline it. So, I called her to let her know that we are respectfully turning down the offer. She asked why and my answer was, “when God says no He offers no explanation”. She said, the money was already out from her budget. I was tempted to change my mind. But I learned that one of the safest thing to do in life is to stay within your conviction. Then she asked me what to do with the money. First, I said I don’t know. Minutes later, a thought of Pastor’s Conference crossed my mind. So, I asked her would you like the money to be used for missions to train pastors of small and struggling churches? She quickly said yes and I could sense the excitement in her voice. Immediately after that conversation, my spirit went to a prayer mode and my mind entered the “Think Bootcamp” and a month later in February of 2023 Pietas Ministry is born.
The months that followed, the Lord lead me to make necessary connections with the right people to make arrangements for our first conference for Pastors of small Churches. A team was formed and prepare them for this first conference that took place on September 2023.
In our holy land journey, God gave us three signs through our holy land trip to confirm to us that Pietas Ministry is His ministry and we are just His instruments. These three signs are; a rainbow while our plane was descending on Istanbul Turkey, a sun up in the sky at the valley of ancient Aijalon Israel, and a cross captured by my camera in Petra Jordan. The mandate given to this ministry is very specific. To Enrich Pastors of Small and Struggling Churches, and to Equip the Next Generations to Exceed Expectations through the Pursuit of Excellence to Honor Christ Jesus.”
